How do I know if I qualify for financial aid?

There is only one way to find out if you qualify for financial aid. You have to apply. The application for financial aid is called the FAFSA. F-A-F-S-A stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The department of education uses the information you provide on the FAFSA to determine how much and what type of financial aid you qualify for. You could qualify for grants, which don’t need to be repaid or student loans, which do need to be repaid. You could also qualify for both grants and student loans. There’s only one way to find out.

You can apply for financial aid online at fafsa.ed.gov and be sure to include Douglas Education Center’s school code of 013957 and we will get the information transferred electronically within a couple of business days.

If you need help filling out the FAFSA the financial aid office at Douglas Education Center is here to help.

If you have any questions or concerns about the financial aid process please contact Kim Myers at kmyers@dec.edu or 724-653-2197.
