DOUGLAS EDUCATION CENTER RECOGNIZED BY ACCREDITING COMMISSION AS A SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE TIME
ACCSC (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges) has recognized Douglas Education Center (DEC) as a School of Excellence for the second consecutive time. This award recognizes ACCSC-accredited institutions for their efforts in demonstrating a high level of achievement among their students and a commitment to the accreditation process. In order to receive this recognition, an institution must go through the accreditation process without issue and submit all reports on time. A majority of the school’s graduation and employment rates from all programs offered must meet or exceed the average rates of graduation and employment among all ACCSC-accredited institutions.
Everyone at DEC is extremely proud of this accomplishment. Julian Imbrescia, Chief Academic Officer of DEC, led the school’s team during the rigorous accreditation process, and he states: “We at Douglas Education Center accept this award with an immense amount of pride and gratitude. Accreditation is an indicator of a school’s commitment to maintaining quality educational standards and ethical business practices. Upon acknowledging DEC as a School of Excellence, ACCSC recognized the accomplishments DEC made during its recent accreditation renewal, especially in regard to sustaining high levels of achievement with students and graduates. This is a significant recognition of our institution, emphasized by the fact that DEC also received the School of Excellence Award during its previous accreditation cycle.”
As a School of Excellence, Douglas Education Center will be honored throughout the 2024 ACCSC Professional Development Conference (PDC). The PDC will be held September 25 – 27, 2024, in Long Beach, California. The PDC provides the one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore meaningful ways to enhance and promote student excellence within schools and communities through an educational program building a shared commitment to supporting exceptional students and fostering communities dedicated to their success.
