DOUGLAS EDUCATION CENTER CEO/PRESIDENT JEFF IMBRESCIA INDUCTED INTO MONESSEN WALL OF FAME
Douglas Education Center CEO/President Jeff Imbrescia was inducted into the Wall of Fame at Monessen High School. The dedication event was held on October 12th, 2024. Jeff along with 5 others were nominated and celebrated for their success and dedication to the community in various ways. The group also attended a panel discussion at Monessen High School on Friday October 11th, 2024 to discuss their stories and answer questions from the students.
Jeff Imbrescia is proud to be a Monessen businessperson. Born and raised in Monessen, Jeff graduated from Monessen High School. He went on to graduate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Accounting as well as receiving a Master of Science Degree in Taxation from Robert Morris University. Jeff is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and started his first company in 1980 – a certified public accounting business, which he ran until 2006.
Jeff purchased Douglas School of Business, Inc. (DBA Douglas Education Center) in 1989, a school he transformed from a small community school into a destination career school by developing multiple career training programs, including the world-renowned programs Tom Savini’s Special Make-up Effects and George A. Romero’s Filmmaking as well as the Cosmetology, Esthetics, Esthetician and Nail Technologist, Massage Therapy, Advanced Cosmetic Techniques, Heavy Equipment and CDL with Safety, and Commercial Driver’s License Programs. Under Jeff’s leadership the campus has grown to ten buildings and sprawls across the city of Monessen. The campus also includes numerous residential living accommodations for students under his company, Boss Development, Inc.
Jeff also owned a production company named Boss Productions, Inc., which operated the popular haunted attraction Tom Savini’s Terrormania. The company also created and developed props and animatronics for the haunted attraction industry both locally and nationally as well as producing multiple film projects.
Under Jeff’s leadership , DEC continues to assist in revitalizing our communities through education.
