The Suicide and Crises Lifeline

Call or Text: 988
Chat: 988lifeline.org

When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.

Local Crisis Center Hotlines

A crisis can range from feeling lonely and needing to talk to thoughts of suicide. Stress and problems-both large and small-fill each of our lives and we all have moments of crisis. No matter how big or small these problems seem, it helps to talk with someone.

Crises Center Hotlines provide counseling and mental health support for individuals and families through telephone hotlines, face-to-face meetings and temporary housing assistance.

Each county has their own Crisis Center Hotline that is available to residents of that county. Douglas Education Center is located in Westmoreland County and its crisis center resources are available without charge to our out-of-state students who are temporarily residing here in Monessen or another city within the county. If you are an out-of-state student who is temporarily residing outside of Westmoreland County, you may use the Crisis Center located in your county.
